2020 fashion shoes: Roger Vivier jewel sandals celebrate Queen Elizabeth II
It is 1953 when the Queen Elizabeth II she is crowned and only a French designer chooses for her look: she is Roger Vivier who rushes to the English court to make a beautiful pair of jewel shoes.
In detail it is a pair of gold-colored leather pumps, inlaid with rubies. The motif of the shoe evoked both the lily decorating the crown of St Edward be the crown of imperial state worn by His Majesty for that day. A little curiosity regards the heel that lengthened it and created a rise inside.
For the spring summer 2020, the Creative Director Gherardo Felloni pays homage to that historic event with the jewel sandals Vivier Queen. The model is characterized by a delicate motif fleur de lys on the front and a high heel completely covered in crystals. As for a piece of High Jewelery, the shoes are completely handmade by skilled craftsmen.
