If there’s one beauty product that we at FASHION will never tire of trying, it’s mascara. And with good reason. A good mascara has the ability to transform your overall appearance in just one swipe (woke up five minutes before your morning Zoom meeting? A mascara whip will make you feel like you’re awake for hours) and with so many innovations and new launches in space, there is always one (or 10) to try. We also love to know what’s in the kits of the world’s best makeup artists and Sir John – the man responsible for some of Beyoncé’s most iconic makeup looks – just revealed his favorite mascara, which you can buy at your local drugstore for. less than $ 20.

The famous MUA joined skincare guru Tata Harper for an Instagram Live session last night, in which he shared his 15-Minute Beauty Routine When He’s On Time (which he says he perfected. while working in a strip club earlier in his career). After presenting Harper with an easy look, Sir John got nothing but praise for L’Oréal Paris Air Volume mega mascara (launched in Canada this month). Speaking to Harper and viewers, he said, “Look at this guy, look at this brush. This brush has so much product in it that I can’t even describe it to you… if you know makeup like I know makeup, this is the brush for you.

The new formula from L’Oréal Paris (for whom Sir John is an ambassador) has a double bristle brush that simultaneously captures the roots of the lashes and evenly distributes the air-whipped formula to deliver maximum volume.

This isn’t the first time Sir John has opted for the brand’s mascara either – to create Beyoncé’s now-legendary beauty look, Coachella, he used L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise mascara.

Sir John also shared a variety of top tips during the tutorial – like starting to fill in your eyebrows above the pupil so that it doesn’t look too dense in the middle, and sliding your eyeliner with your finger to create the perfect feline movie.
