Blackpink’s New Album Release The Album Nearly Broke Twitter

After months of anticipation, Blackpink’s debut studio album Album is finally here. Featuring hits like “Ice Cream” and “How You Like That”, the launch of eight titles shot in top of iTunes last night and threw Twitter into a frenzy, where the band’s loyal fan base (aka Blinks) celebrated the returns of Rosé, Jennie, Lisa and Jisoo.

K-Pop stars have spoken about preparing for Album in their October ELLE cover story. “These days, we have no boundaries when it comes to work,” Jennie said. “Even on our days off, we’re basically in the recording studio.” Rosé added: “Life is work and work is life!”

Contributor Bekuh Boom, who wrote credits on Album for songs like “You Never Know” and “Crazy Over You”,praises Blackpink versatility and star power. “They represent this oneness among women – how we can all be different while still getting along and bringing something powerful to the table,” she says. “Their music speaks to so many different people from all walks of life. I’m so grateful to be a part of it.”
