The versatile and practical design of the new one Chanel 19 it features an oversized version of the famous diamond-shaped matelassé motif, embellished with a striking CC logo closure and a double oversized metal chain handle, with braided leather shoulder strap. The number 19 indicates 2019, the year of creation of the new bag; a name chosen by Virginie Viard to remember the famous 2.55 model created in February 1955 by Coco Chanel.
