In the age of Zooming and staying at home (sorry, I know you’re tired of hearing that) jewelry is one of the things that has remained a staple in my wardrobe this year. Even wearing something as casual as a sweatshirt, I’m going to put on some jewelry and instantly feel assembled. I would even go so far as to say that it cheers me up. And I don’t think I’m alone in this, because Forbes reported this summer that jewelry sales had soared during the pandemic. So what’s my point?
While walking through New York City last week, Gwyneth Paltrow wore an outfit made up of relaxed basics. By adding some big gold necklaces, she made the outfit cooler and more polished. Chunky gold necklaces have been the # 1 trend in necklaces for a few years now, but this year has seen the popularity of the trend increase even more. Whatever casual and comfy basics you wear, don one or more chunky gold chain necklaces and you don’t really need any other accessories. Concrete example: Gwyneth Paltrow.
Necklaces from Paltrow can be (very expensive), but I have found more wallet-friendly styles. Scroll down to the store.
