The launch comes after the pair announced the foundation in April.
Six months after announcing the launch of their own organization called Archewell, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially unveiled their foundation’s website.
Launched today, the website only has a cover page with a soft, neutral background and the word Archewell along with an explanation of the name. Both explain that Ark is a “Greek word meaning” source of action “” and Well is “an abundant source or supply; a place where we will dig deep. There is also a subscription box.
Announcing the foundation in April, Harry and Meghan revealed how they came up with the name – and how it inspired their son’s name, Archie. “Like you, our goal is to support efforts to tackle the global COVID-19 pandemic, but in the face of this information being revealed, we felt compelled to share the story of how it happened. “, They wrote, adding that Archewell” is a name which combines an ancient word for strength and action, and one which evokes the deep resources on which one must draw.
They continued, “Before Royal Sussex came the idea of Arche – the Greek word for source of action. We connected with this concept for the charity we hoped to someday create, and it became the inspiration for our son’s name. Do something meaningful, do something that matters. Archewell is a name which combines an ancient word for strength and action, and another which evokes the deep resources on which one must draw. We look forward to launching Archewell when the time comes. “
The pair have not shared any further details regarding a launch date or other details for the nonprofit, but the website launch suggests Archewell will debut very soon. Watch this place.
