Spells, hippogriffs and polyjuice potions: Harry Potter is returning to tv with all its magic load. So from March 16 and for a whole month, Italia 1 proposes the waiting marathon of the eight films (every Monday and Tuesday), mysteriously slipped in the usual location, that is, the Christmas schedule.

Moving with fantasy to the world of J.K. Rowling can be an antidote to fears and isolation of this period, due to coronavirus. Many, wizards or Muggles, these days would like a cloak of invisibility, a timepiece or even just a map of the Marauder for better orientation.
So let’s allow ourselves a suspension of reality and accompany the surviving child in his epic fight against “He who Must Not Be Named”. The former enfant prodigy Daniel Radcliffe, meanwhile, seems to arrive on our almost unified network screens, thanks to the arrival of the film on Amazon Prime Video on March 23 Guns Akimbo, presented at the Toronto Film Festival. Slip, however, the airing on Italy 1 (scheduled for 18) of season 2 of Miracle Workers with Steve Buscemi, who sees him in the role of a heir to the fearful and inept throne.
The career on the rise of the cast of the saga? The one of Emma Watsonobviously: activist, philanthropist, Chanel face and paladin in the cinema of some beloved heroines, from Meg di Little Women to Belle de The beauty and the Beast. The former Hermione Granger has definitely grown, but she already understood very well when on the set she imposed wardrobe rules that then consecrated her to a worldwide glam icon.
Usually the potterheads, fans of the saga, take advantage of every weekend possible for “pilgrimages” to the filming locations but above all to immerse themselves in theme amusement parks, from the WB Studio Tour in London, on real movie sets, to Universal Studios in Orlando , in Florida, with two areas dedicated to the wizard, one with a Hogwarts theme and the other with Diagon Alley. Not being able to take physical trips during this period, it is the right time to fly fantasy – perhaps riding the Nimbus 2000 or riding Fierobecco – and retracing all the adventures of these so stoic characters.
There are dark times, remembers Dumbledore, but at that very moment we must remember to turn on the light. Indeed for fans of the saga the positive news is multiplying and include both the possibility of a spin-off franchise dedicated to Lord Voldemort that the imminent start of filming – except for the last minute stop – of the third prequel film, Fantastic Beasts, set in Brazil with the cast led by Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne. With Jude Law as a young Dumbledore and with Johnny Depp in those of his former best friend (and lover?) and now arch-enemy Grindelwald, fun is guaranteed.
The same writer in a cryptic tweet had then mentioned the possibility of a final chapter (the fifth) to be filmed in Italy: we cross fingers and wands, so that the plans of the histrionic Rowling are not distorted.

The Italia 1 marathon, however, is certainly not reserved only for fans of the first hour, indeed it is never too late to start a new domestic tradition with these appointments or organize a group vision – but remotely, each at home – with friends and then comment on the evolution of events in chat all together.
One of the many merits of history (published in Italy by Salani) is just this: it has no age limit o time and caters to multiple generations simultaneously. Despite being an epic fantasy adventure, it remains anchored in reality: a potion, in fact, cannot defeat everything and has its limits, such as death. It is a profound teaching valid not only for the little ones, but also for the grown-ups: loving while knowing that you can lose someone is anything but weakness. It takes courage and little Harry, an orphan of both parents when he was still in swaddling clothes, learns this lesson very early. The family then becomes the one they chose, with friends Hermione and Ron, the godfather Sirius, the caretaker Hagrid, the mentor Dumbledore and the elf Dobby. The list would be too long, but these names already make the idea.
Now more than ever we need someone to remind us that it is natural to be afraid, as long as we don’t let it get the better of us: Harry has always faced it, not always wisely, but with his heart in his hand.
