How INLAND and HBC Are Shining a Spotlight on Local and BIPOC Brands

HBC has partnered with INLAND to showcase some of the country’s most exciting design talent.

If your new purchases have recently focused on local designers and BIPOC, the new partnership between Hudson’s Bay and INLAND should make that even easier. Launched today, the partnership will see the Canadian retailer offer a selection of clothing and accessories from some of the country’s coolest emerging brands through a dedicated online store.

From today until December 31, the INLAND online store will host 44 local brands, nearly 40% of which are BIPOC designers. Names include Omi Woods, Soft Focus (who recently spoke with FASHION about their last drop of WFH essentials), Maguire, OKAYOK, Pretty Denim and more.

Speaking about the partnership in a statement, Sarah Power, Founder and Creative Director of INLAND said, “INLAND is a community where customers, designers and manufacturers come together to celebrate Canada’s fabric through incredible design. We are committed to putting locally created pieces in every wardrobe and we are so excited to partner with Hudson’s Bay to help make this a reality. By promoting sustainable collections, advocating for diverse representation, and empowering local voices, we make Canadians feel good about their everyday wardrobe choices.
