On 4 and 5 April the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia fashion shows will be streamed, thanks to the work of the Russian Fashion Council with the support of the Fashion Fund.
For the first time ever, due to the coronavirus, the event will be totally digital and Vogue.it will broadcast the streaming of the fashion shows.
Alexander Shumsky, President of the Russian Fashion Council that organizes Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia, explains how it is possible to give help to Russian designers, involved like all creatives in this difficult period: “We invite everyone to support Russian designers not only with our traditional #MBFWRussia tag, but also with the #stayhome and #stayhomeinfashion tags. (…) The best thing the fashion industry can say today in the world is #stayhome, stay home and be responsible. All our online event was prepared remotely. “
For the first time in Russia, it will be possible to pre-order the pieces of the new collections presented by Russian designers on the virtual catwalk thanks to the collaboration with AIZEL.RU, the main Russian online store of designer clothing.
The famous virtual model Aliona Pole will also be on the catwalk, who will share her favorite looks with the public. Aliona has also created her personal capsule collection of digital clothes and will wear it for the first time at fashion week.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia collaborates on the #Moskvastoboy (Moscow is with you) project, which is particularly relevant today, while everyone stays at home. Every day, the project is updated with more and more online events with various locations. The video presentations of the new collections of Russian designers will then be published on the website of the stayhome.moscow project and will be part of the entertainment dedicated to the population.
