Pomellato celebrates Earth Day

On the occasion of April 22, Earth Day, Pomellato presents a collection of jewelry with Chilean lapis lazuli. This stone in intense color and texture evokes the denim canvas, hence the name Denim Lapis Lazuli. The natural beauty of lapis lazuli is accompanied by Tanzanian rubies, mounted on Colombian Fairmined rose gold, from certified mines.

With this collection the Milanese Maison not only confirms the love for minerals but renews commitment to the use of materials from sustainable and socially responsible sources, for the 50th anniversary of Earth Day.

The project was born on the occasion of Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion from 2018, held at the London College of Fashion, during which MarĂa Teresa Flores, Chilean student winner of the first prize, he proposed to create sustainable jewels using lapis lazuli from his country of origin. Pomellato immediately recognized the enormous potential of the idea and, after some research, got in touch with the Las Flores de Los Andes company, specialized in the lapis lazuli extracted at high altitude with totally sustainable methods.

Denim Lapis Lazuli it’s limited edition, made to order and available exclusively on the Pomellato website.
