Princess Diana’s Iconic Sweaters Have Been Re-released

There’s no denying that Princess Diana is a style icon (she wore bike shorts and sweatshirts long before this became our daily quarantine uniform). She has worn some pretty unforgettable outfits over the years, two of which you can now get your hands on thanks to the new Rowing Blazers Fall / Winter collection launched on Thursday. The first is this red sheepskin print sweater, which some say was a nod to her feeling of being an outsider in the royal family because of the only black sheep on the front.

Rowing Blazers worked directly with the original item designers, Joanna Osborne and Sally Muir, to recreate the style. And although many copies have been made in the past, the press release states that “this is the first time since 1994 that the original Warm and Wonderful shearling sweater will be reissued as an exclusive collaboration.”

And the second is, of course, the “I’m a Luxury” sweater the late Princess of Wales wore in the ’80s. Once again, Rowing Blazers teamed up with Gyles Brandreth, the co-creator of the design, to make it available for the first time since the 1990s. The back says “Few people can afford it”, FYI.

Both sweaters are available in men’s and women’s sizes for $ 295. If you’ve always wanted to channel your royal favorite, this is your chance. You can also pay in installments with QuadPay on the site if you don’t want to pay everything in advance. Models are available from XS-XXXL, but some sizes are already selling. Act fast, because your WFH fall and winter outfit is about to get royal.
