Dr Liza from Toronto collaborated with Nigerian brand Wuman on charity t-shirt initiative
Learning that healthcare workers in Nigeria have not had access to PPE throughout the pandemic, Dr. Liza Egbogah – the osteopath and incidental entrepreneur from Toronto whose family is originally from the country – took the plunge in action to make a difference. After connecting with one of his favorite Nigerian designers, Ekwerike Chukwuma of the Wuman label, the “We Must Design a Better World” t-shirt was created. The project is particularly close to their hearts for many reasons, including the fact that before entering the fashion space, Chukwuma studied medicine.
100% of the proceeds from sales will go towards the purchase of PPE for Nigeria’s frontline workers, and the shirts are WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified – one more reason to feel good about the purchase.
