Vogue Global Conversations. Live on Zoom from April 14th
The coronavirus epidemic has spared no economic sector. In recent months, the fashion world has reacted immediately to the spread of the virus and the blockage that has followed by implementing creativity, responsibility, and a sense of community. From the first moment, the fashion houses have made donations to bodies and causes related to the COVID-19 emergency. Not only that: the stylists soon started to convert their production: from clothing and accessories they switched to protective devices, gowns for hospitals, and fabric masks for the population.
From April 14, just to talk about what is happening, but above all to analyze the future of fashion, Vogue Global Network, and Vogue Runway launch the Vogue Global Conferences.
You are all invited to participate
“We are all united by the same problems and challenges”, Says Anna Wintour, director of Vogue US and artistic director of Condé Nast. “This conference is an opportunity to meet, communicate, and remind ourselves that we are a global community. I am looking forward to hearing your testimonials and being inspired by next week’s conversations“.
Divided into four sections, the conference, which will go live on Zoom, includes conversations between Vogue directors, designers, and managers of the fashion system. Together they will address a wide range of issues that are affecting fashion, from the impact of self-isolation on creativity to the future of retail in stores and online.
The talks will be moderated by an international team of Vogue directors including Edward Enninful, editor of Vogue UK; Eugenia de la Torriente, editor of Vogue España; Angelica Cheung, editor of Vogue China; Emanuele Farneti, director of Vogue Italia and L’Uomo Vogue and Nicole Phelps, director of Vogue Runway.
The guests who will participate in the panel: Marc Jacobs, Kenneth Ize, Stella McCartney, Gabriela Hearst, Olivier Rousteing Balmain, Cedric Charbit Balenciaga; Natacha Ramsay-Levi Chloé; Virgil Abloh Off_White; Stephanie Phair Farfetch and BFC; Remo Ruffini Moncler; Vittorio Radice La Rinascente, Pete Nordstrom and Pierre-Yves Roussel.
All the talks will be broadcasted daily on Zoom, from 14 to 17 April, at 15:00.
And, in case you can’t tune in, every day there will be a summary of every discussion available on Vogue sites around the world.
