However, this was only one example of weddings where special guests like the clergy were also invited. In the present times, the trend of using a groom’s role during the ceremony, and the presence of the maid of honor as well as the bridesmaids has developed to a great extent.

Wedding ceremonies

The concept of a bride and groom being depicted in these wedding ceremonies seems to have originated from the historical events in the early Christian history. It has taken place since the early 1800s and still continues to this day.

Vogue weddings as we know them have changed and evolved over the years. There are some other things which are peculiar to this type of wedding ceremony. First of all, there is no ceremony at all. It is the groom and the bride, who are asking to sit down at the beginning of the wedding ceremony and begin their vows.

Traditionally, wedding ceremonies have a number of pomp and circumstance, but they are usually short. Usually they can last for about twenty minutes or so. However, this has been reduced to about an hour by most brides who are opting for such weddings.

In these weddings, it is common for the groom to wear white or the bride to wear a pink dress. The bride wears a white kimono while the groom wears a kimono that has an oriental feel.

Groom

The groom normally wears a white shirt and trousers along with a kilt, but occasionally he also wears a black and white hat. The bridesmaids also wear white and gold shares along with pearl earrings and other accessories. In fact, both the bride and the groom are required to wear a veil, and there is no rooster motif in these weddings.

Vogue weddings are often held within the mansion of the bride and the groom in some case even in the same building. It is not unheard of for the bride and the groom to host the reception together in some cases. In others, the reception can take place just a few weeks after the wedding ceremony.

The main reason behind the appearance of these wedding ceremonies in the West is because of the divorce rate. Many marriages break up after the bride and the groom are announced as husband and wife. A large number of divorced couples would opt for a wedding, which is of a very conservative nature.

The bride’s side is traditionally represented by a maid of honor and the groom’s side by the groomsmen. In other cases, both the bride and the groom can host the reception together.
