Adele hosts Saturday Night Live for the first time this week, and the promotions for her episode were released last night. Adele revealed on her Instagram last weekend that she would host the show, saying it was a long-held dream. She has also not indicated whether her highly anticipated new album will be released shortly after its appearance.

She wrote:

Bloooooody hellllll I’m so excited about this !! And also absolutely terrified! My very first hosting gig and for SNL of all things !!!! I’ve always wanted to do it as a secluded moment, so I could roll up my sleeves and dive into it fully, but the time was never right. But if there was a time for any of us to jump head first into the depths with our eyes closed and hope for the best, it’s 2020, right?
It’s been almost 12 years to the day since I first appeared on the show, in an election … which interrupted my career in America, so the circle has come full circle and I just couldn’t say no. ! I am moreover myself that she will be the musical guest !! I love her so much that I can’t wait to melt into a hot mess when she plays and then get confused as I laugh my ass off in between it all.
See you next week ♥ ️🤞🏻
