Watch BTS’ 2020 Billboard Music Awards Performance

The Billboard Music Awards may be a little more low-key this year amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but let’s thank K-pop superstars BTS for injecting energy into the evening. Jin, Jimin, Suga, V, RM, Jungkook and J-Hope performed “Dynamite” from a distance for the ceremony. Their outfits? Red suits that were stellar. Their choreography? Flawless. But did you expect less from a BTS performance?

Fans immediately shared snippets of it:

BTS first performed “Dynamite” live at the MTV VMAs at the end of August.

The band told Zane Lowe on Apple Music at the time that “Dynamite,” their first great English single, is “about positive vibes, energy, hope, love, purity, everything. Recording this song was really fun, and like Jin said, we’re going through some tough times so we tried to have more fun working on this song. We made this song in the hope of energizing the listeners. We are happy that this song went well and hope that many of our fans can listen to it to receive the positive energy that we have tried to incorporate into the song. “

BTS is also on the verge of releasing new music. Their new album BE will air on November 20. The music on it was shaped by the time of the boys in quarantine, factoring in the coronavirus pandemic with the rest of the world. The message behind the new music, as put in a press release for the album, is that “even in the face of this new normal, our life goes on.”
