Milan Fashion Week is just one day into its spring 2021 season and is already generating a lot of buzz. From Silvia Venturini Fendi’s latest collection for Fendi to Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada’s first collection reunited at Prada, the first 24 hours in the Italian city have been action-packed. And that excitement is set to continue tomorrow as Hugo Boss presents his BOSS Spring 2021 collection.
The brand – which recently launched its Canadian e-commerce site – has shared very little about what to expect from the show, except that the men’s and women’s collections were inspired by the floral work of the show. British artist William Farr. What we do know is that the show will take place at Palazzo del Senato in Milan, with a few socially distant guests. The brand shared with FASHION that the space will be decorated with 40 acacias and that all of these trees will be donated to the city of Milan once the show is over in support of the city’s initiative to plant three million trees of by 2030. to help fight climate change.
The brand shares a long history with the Italian city, as Ingo Wilts, brand director at Hugo Boss, explained in a previous press release. “The city of Milan is close to our hearts as a brand, especially since the first BOSS women’s clothing collection was unveiled here exactly 20 years ago. We’re excited to continue BOSS’s story in Italy’s fashion capital, with this live event that will bring together the physical and digital elements of the runway experience in a unique way.
