What Is The Confidence Code?

Checking in with yourself and maintaining morale is vital every year, but can seem like a Herculean task in 2020. Enter award-winning journalists and New York Times bestselling authors Katty Kay and Claire Shipman, authors of The code of trust: science and The Art of Confidence – What Women Should Know. The duo behind this 2014 self-help book are launching the “Your Code of Confidence” online course, designed for women to assess and build their confidence levels.

Kay and Shipman will guide participants through a program that uses “cutting-edge research, knowledge and wisdom from successful women in politics, media and business,” according to a press release. The course consists of 13 video lessons, 11 video exercises, personal interviews, and action steps designed to embrace you and drive out insecurities. “Since writing our book, The trust code, we’ve heard so many women talk about this extra step, this extra push, new knowledge that can help them take more control over their lives. This course is a great addition to the book and we are sure will help girls and women around the world achieve a new level of confidence, ”Kay said in a statement.

We are delighted to offer a course, with new details and an innovative methodology, that can give women a direct guide to help them turn their thinking into action and take the first step through the barriers that hold them back, ”said Shipman in a statement.

Kay and Shipman, both Washington DC-based journalists, overcame their own battles against impostor syndrome to cover the White House, economic crises and wars. Kay is the anchor of BBC World News America and contributor at the same time Meet the press and Morning joe. Shipman is a White House reporter for NBC News and CNN, as well as a contributor to both Hello america and ABC News.
